“The collapsible frame has proven to be very sturdy as I use it off road mountain biking regularly. I also purchased the storage bag for the bike and it has proved to be very durable and accomplishes exactly what I hoped to. I can collapse the bike when finished using, put inside the vinyl storage bag and store out of site in the house easily. This is an excellent solution for small apartments, or very limited space. DirectConnect™ Folding System
New since 2016 is the DirectConnect folding system, which removes the quick release from the top tube, provides an easier folding experience and larger clamping surface between the two halves of the frame. A flip of the quick release lever and your bike folds to a compact size.
27.5″ Wheels
The Paratrooper Highline features 27.5″ wheels, a slightly larger diameter than the traditional 26″ mountain bike wheel. The size rolls over obstacles easier, and provides a larger contact point with the ground, both ideal for off road riding.
2×10 Drivetrain
The Paratrooper Highline is equipped with a two ring crankset, a simpler and lighter weight setup than the traditional triple chainring. The 2×10 drivetrain offers more reliable shifting and more ground clearance for obstacles. With the ability to use all ten gears with either ring cross chaining is a thing of the past. As a result, very little gear range is compromised.
Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors provide amazing stopping power. Perfect for gravity defying rides through the mountains. The sealed system keeps dirt and grime out of the brake’s moving parts while the hydraulic actuated caliper makes for lightning fast brake response.
